World Cafe Event
The program
managers, chairs and vice-chairs of Brown County Teen
Leadership, Current Young Professionals and Leadership Green
Bay have been working together to bring an exciting event to
you that will involve participants from all three programs
in an effort to work more closely with our developing
leadership. We have chosen a program called The World Café.
The World Café is a program that invites participants to
explore an identified topic in an effort to stimulate
conversation about questions that matter. These
conversations link and build on each other as people move
between groups, cross-pollinate ideas, and discover new
insights into the questions or issues that are most
important in their life, work, or community. You can learn
more by visiting their web site at
www.theworldcafe.com.
I am extending a special invitation to you to participate
with the chamber's other leadership programs in what will be
an event that will bring clarity to our mission as a
leadership organization.
Click Here to view all of the details. Please accept my
invitation by replying to this email or by contacting Lisa
Schmelzer at
lschmelzer@titletown.org or 593-3411. If you RSVP to
Lisa, please identify with which program you are affiliated.
Your RSVP is requested as soon as possible
and space is limited to the first 20 participants of each
program. I look forward to your participation!

Global
Impact Survey

Current,
in conjunction with Next Generation Consulting of
Madison, is conducting a survey to gauge what young
professionals think about the Greater Green Bay
Area. We'll then receive and announce comparative
results with other communities to see how Green Bay
lines up. Greater Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce
President Paul Jadin said, "This survey will give us
an idea of our handprint on issues that are vital to
our ability to recruit and retain the young
professionals who will define and build this
community in years to come. I hope everyone who
receives it will give us an honest appraisal of
where we stand.” Click on the banner above and enter
the password "current" to get started!
Event
Recap: Botanical Garden
Current was welcomed by the Green Bay Botanical Gardens
staff on a guided tour of the grounds during a spectacular
time of the year. Many plants were in full bloom as was the
networking. A little fun was even had along the way by
Current's Vice-Chair Peter Weiss of Nicolet National Bank
and Brian Johnson, Current Program Manager.

Young
Professional Sports Buddies
Don’t
miss this chance to have fun and be a kid again! The
typical barriers to volunteering as a mentor have
been addressed and combined with planned outdoor and
sports activities, and the result is Sports Buddies!
This new activity-based mentoring program of Big
Brothers Big Sisters asks for an initial commitment
of only six months, and requires just two
get-togethers each month. You don’t even need to
come up with ideas of what to do if you’d prefer not
to--BBBS will plan and sponsor two group activities
per month for Sports Buddies. It’s never been
easier to have a positive impact on a young life!
Men will
be matched to a boy between ten and fourteen years
old who has similar interests and lives on the same
side of town. Matches will have the option to attend
both group activities each month, or choose to do
one planned event and spend time on their own
another week. Green Bay Bullfrogs, Gamblers,
Blizzard and UWGB Phoenix have all agreed to partner
with Sports Buddies and will be donating tickets. Do
something different this summer—become a Big
Brother! You don’t have to change your life to make
a difference in his!
